To prevent that EU can transform into a EF itself without Euro, but with ECU like from 1999-2002, which makes devaluation possible, and without EP which is now controlled by Germany and France, and Brussels mere as backoffice.
Since EUrope pays 68% of strict NATO costs, USA just 16%, (and 50% UN costs btw) EU-NATO military should be under EUROPEAN command, so it can really act in and around EUrope, f.i. Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova and in mentioned conflict.
According Stratfor Forecast Russia will fall, China will get worldwide sanctions (for trying to grab Siberia after RF fall or corona which china uses as bioweapon seeing its agressive behavior), VS will leave world alone, so all ?superpowers? will be gone, and should have no longer a place with veto in UNSC.
Then a better world can be build, without those superpowers/warmongers who don?t bring the world to PEACE, but to PIECES!
