Remove by UNGA art. 377 all vetorights of all permanent members of UNSC, USA,Russia, China, United Kingdom and France so all members of UNSC can vote by majority and in effect all 193 members of UN can decide together instead just those 5 who have brought the world last 100 years to pieces for financial gain.

Je kan maar begrijpen wat er in Syrië gebeurt als je teruggaat naar de geschiedenis, en met name naar het geheime Sykes-Picot akkoord waarin de Britten en de Fransen het Ottomaanse rijk onder elkaar verdeelden. En verder naar de Franse bezetting van Syrië, die extreem brutaal was, en waarbij een Force Spéciale ingezet werd die grotendeels uit alawieten bestond.
Als je niet beseft dat de alawieten al voor de Tweede Wereldoorlog ingezet werden als koloniale controlemacht en dat de soennieten daardoor altijd gezien werden als “soennitische religieuze oppositie”, zal je nooit begrijpen waarom IS bestaat. Noch waarom het volkomen irrelevant is om IS te gaan bombarderen. Let wel: IS is wel degelijk een bedreiging, net zoals mensen die opeens aan het moorden gaan in het centrum van Parijs.
Zo lang we Syrië niet benaderen als een product van zowel zijn verleden als zijn heden, zullen we belachelijke oplossingen blijven bedenken, zoals het bombarderen van het land. Nochtans weten we dat bombardementen nooit tot oplossingen hebben geleid, zoals in het Romeinse Rijk de kruisigingen niet echt werkten.
