Het is daar nog lang niet voorbij. De rebellen bewijzen zich niets aan te trekken van het bestand. En waarom zouden zo ook, ze zijn aan de winnende hand. Na Debaltseve is het richting Mariupole en met versterking van Russische troepen uit de illegaal verkregen Krim gaan de Russen richting Odessa, dat volgens Poetin bij Novorossia hoort. Novorossia, het Russischtalige deel van Oekraïne waarvan Poetin gezworen heeft het te 'beschermen'. En wat hij met 'beschermen' bedoelt weten we sinds het oorlogsgeweld in het Oosten is losgebarsten.
Het einddoel is om door te stoten naar het westen, naar het maffiastaatje Transnistrie, die wederom illegaal verkregen Russische afsplitsing van Moldavië. Zo komt heel Novorossia weer in de beschermende Russische handen.
Het is niet toevallig dat Russische troepen daar vorige week een oefening begonnen. Ze zullen zich daar niet vervelen. Transnistrie is een plek vol vertier. Zeker voor eenzame soldaten. Sinds de Russen het in opdracht van Poetin in handen hebben is het een doorvoerhaven voor heroïne, wapens en prostitués in werkelijk alle leeftijdsklassen. Bij westerse inlichtingendiensten is al jaren bekend dat het Russische staatje het centrum voor de productie van kinderpornografie is. En dat Poetin daarmee aan het hoofd staat van een enorm misdaadsyndicaat wordt slechts door weinigen ontkend.

De voorbereidingen voor de slag om Odessa zijn nu in volle gang. Net zoals Poetin dat eerder deed op de Krim en Odessa (denk aan 2 mei) heeft hij er zijn bloedhonden uit Transnistrie op afgestuurd om angst en terreur onder de bevolking te zaaien. Om de boel voor te koken. In die meidagen van 2014 liepen ze zwaaiend met mitrailleurs door het centrum van de stad om pro Kiev betogers de stuipen op het lijf te jagen.

Ook toen overstroomden in een paar dagen tijd Russisch sprekende vreemdelingen de stad en braken er rellen en vechtpartijen uit. De SA van Poetin is weer op pad.

Het stadsbestuur houdt de zaak goed in de gaten maar dat is geen garantie voor ieders veiligheid. In haar onderzoek naar de 2de mei ontdekte journaliste Vera Zaporozjets op videobeelden van de brand, een demonstrant die insloeg op een man die net uit het raam was gesprongen. Op haar aanwijzingen werd de man aangehouden. Toen zij de man in de gevangenis wilde spreken, bleek hij gemarteld. Korte tijd daarna was hij plotseling verdwenen. Zaporozjets onderzocht de verdwijning en zegt nu over bewijzen te beschikken dat de FSB achter de brand zat, in het bijzonder iemand uit de naaste omgeving van burgemeester Troeganov. Troeganov behoort bij de clan van Janoekovitsj, die zoals bekend vele politiemensen en bestuurders in zijn zak had. Vanwege de vele bedreigingen aan haar adres nadat zij dit bewijs neerlegde bij de bestuurders van de stad, besloot zij haar onderzoek te staken en uit te wijken naar het buitenland.

Over Novorossia, dat geromantiseerde beeld dat velen hier ook het hart sneller doet kloppen. Your channel didn't have good reply on russians in ukraine while I and my bunch can find them not on satelite but on the ground and media all over the world and espec. the region in english, ukrainian and russian (not on rt ofc)  let's see on debaltseve some proof of russians:

So the presentator could have countered that kremlinmediaguy easy, and if he's talking about NATO-arms or troops, just ask him, ok give us real proof? But that kremlinmedia guy concluded with threats about nuclear war.... you shouldn't even give such guys a platform, is our opnion..
So CNN only will matter, if it can come up with at least as much evidence as we "the amateurs" can provide...and a picture/video says more (factwise) then 1000 words.
Even anne applebaum, washingtonpost gave a better answer.
So CNN can matter, but not at present, we rather even look at aljazeera or uatoday :-)
BTW what i miss most is a comment sytem like disqus, despite trolls
