Have any of you heard of Black Tulip. They are a Ukrainian organisation and have evidently been working for years finding the bodies of the dead from the two world wars and are now find the lost from this war. Interviewed a woman who's husband was in the army and he has disappeared and he is one of the many they are trying to find. It was on BBC World News and hopefully will be repeated later in the day. New US sanctions against Russia hit one Belarusian bank.
BelVEB bank has been added to the updated Sectoral Sanctions Identifications List by the US Office of Foreign Assets Control.
BelVEB is a subsidiary of the Russian Vnesheconombank and one of the leading banks in Belarus.
As a matter of fact, subsidiaries of the sanctioned Russian companies could not attract long-term funding and to place shares in the United States even before they appeared in the OFAC's list, the Russian news source RBC notes.
However, US Department of the Treasury decided to add them on the sanctions list in order to reduce the chance of evading the sanctions.

If a resolution fails, cause a veto is used, or the P5 don't agree together as one, the resolution can also put it for the GA General Assembly, if a majority of that accepts it it can bypass the UNSC veto.

the P5 vetopower should be aboneded, then the UNSC can get some credit, not only on Ukraine, but also on Syria, Palestine and so on, and when such a resolution would be accepted bij the UN GA it would mean the UNSC as such would get discredited cause of vetopowers.
This procedure has been used 10 times so far, most notably in 1956 to help resolve the Suez Canal crisis. Britain and France, which were occupying parts of the canal at the time, vetoed Security Council resolutions calling for their withdrawal. The United States called for an emergency "Uniting for Peace" session of the General Assembly, which passed a withdrawal resolution. (A simple majority vote is required.) Britain and France pulled out shortly after.
