The Holodomor Memorial Museum in Kyiv has opened an exhibition on the artificial resettlement of Russians and Belarusians to eastern Ukraine after the Holodomor (famine/genocide) of 1932-33.
end of 2013 most of my contacts in Ukraine were russian speaking (east) Ukrainians from all east, incl. now RF occupied areas, who were fierce against RF invasions and agitated against their RF families (if any). Contrary what Olga Sterenshis says russian speaking southeast Ukraine came after Holodomor that region was hit more then west Ukraine, and SU russians were imported (so deported)in those depopulated regions, like now russian speaking east Ukraine( and Crimea) is hit more by RF invasions then west. One of my contacts was a language teacher english-italian-russian in Kharkiv who started to also teach Ukrainian and become fond on newly discoverd indentity and proud of it, and angry disputing with her RF distant family about RF invasions. Most deaths-wounded and disabled now are also russian speaking Ukrainians.
