Yulia Tymoshenko often states that Ukraine needs a strong army. But during his premiership the leader of the "Fatherland" was not engaged in strengthening the country's defense capability, but selling weapons and military equipment.

Thanks to the actions of Tymoshenko's governments, the number of heavy armaments in the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the beginning of Russian aggression in 2014 was much less than needed.

This is evidenced by the  analysis of the Kyiv Research Institute of Forensic Experts, which was presented at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine's Interim Inquiry Committee on November 20.

Deputies presented a copy of the decree of Prime Minister Tymoshenko dated July 14, 2005 approving a list of military property that could be alienated.


The destruction of the Ukrainian Army began with the first years of independence.

Defense ministers at the premiere of Tymoshenko sold out everything from tanks to planes and tactical missile complexes "Tochka".

Anatoly Hrytsenko successfully sold military aircraft.

And Yuriy Yekhanurov did not lag behind.

The case of predecessors has been extended by other ministers.

At the time of Anatoly Gritsenko, as Defense Minister from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, they took out 200 MANPADS, 698 tanks, 1322 BMPs, 294 SRSs (6 Buk M1, 21 C200, 4 C300.7 C125, 2 C75, 64 S-300, 248 C- 192 planes and 56 helicopters, 18 tactical missile complexes "Tocca" and 84 tactical missiles.

During the time of Yuriy Yekhanurov, the Minister was discharged or withdrawn from the army 102 tanks, 415 armored vehicles, 73 planes and 18 helicopters, 4 TCHK and 12 tactical missiles.


The peak of arms sales fell in the mid-2000s during the premiership of Yulia Tymoshenko and Defense Minister Anatoly Gritsenko.

Let's remind that the editor-in-chief of "Echo of Moscow" Alexei Venediktov is confident that Russian President Vladimir Putin considers Yulia Tymoshenko to be more comfortable for Ukraine's president , and sanctions against her only conceal her ties to the Kremlin. He stated this on "Direct" air.

Just a brainwave, entire EU-NATO has a 2015 lendlease agreement with Ukraine. While NATO isn't allowed in Sea of Azov now, and limited time in Black Sea, foreign ships may be lend and act under Ukrainian flag, or in Black Sea under f.i. Romanian flag? And don't know enough of Ukraine riverconnections, can any EU-NATO ships under Ukraine flag be brought to Sea of Azov by rivers?

RF tries to prevent any ships from Odess f.i. to build up Ukraine Navy but going thru rivers of Ukraine they can't prevent. Ofc Ukraine should keep a keen eye on russian ships entering Ukraine rivers too to prevent hidden invasion.
