The Russians have been placing boobytraps on the corpses of their dead. They leave the dead behind knowing the Ukrainians will gather them and handle the remains properly. This UAF mortuary crew was lucky and found the device, consisting of a grenade and block of C-4, before it detonated. The grenade was re-pinned to make it safe.

On July 8th, Zelensky awarded the title of "Hero of Ukraine" to soldier Olga Simonova. Olga was russian. She left ruzZia in 2014 and never returned. She learned Ukrainian and in 2017, she became the first active foreigner in the military to receive Ukrainian citizenship.
