Almost half of Belarusians say their life worsened in the past 3 months.
Over 60% of people believe that their income will lag behind the rising prices, Independent Institute of Socio-Economic and Political Studies (IISEPS) has found out during the opinion poll in March 2015.
In June 2009 6% of Belarusians defined their financial standing as "poverty" (very low level of financial standing) and 27.6% - as "below the average". Today these figures amount to 9.1% and 36.5% respectively. "Average level of financial standing" dropped from 59.8% down to 49.6% over the same period.
Despite power's assurances, over 81% of Belarusians fear another devaluation of Belarusian ruble in the next few months (in September 2013 the number was 72%). That is why 80% of respondents constantly or sometimes check how their incomes change expressed in dollars.
March survey results confirmed that economy is the biggest problem for the leadership of the country.

Russian-backed militant leaders Alexander Zakharchenko and Ihor Plotnyskyi have complained in their letter to German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French president Francois Hollande that Ukraine wasn't fulfilling its obligations related to the Minsk Memorandum.
The terrorists also ask the mediators to demand on their behalf restoration of welfare services by the Ukrainian government in the territories under their control.
The leadership of 'DPR' and 'LPR' earlier stopped paying pensions and social benefits to residents of the occupied territories. The terrorists believe that Ukraine is solely responsible for welfare services in the self-proclaimed republics.
At the same time, Ukraine is ready resume paying pensions and salaries to its citizens in Donbas only after regaining control of the area.

Ministry of Labour: Belarusian freeloaders may have problems with travelling abroad.
Minister of Labour and Social Protection Mariyana Shchotkina has promised that so-called 'freeloaders' will have problems with going abroad if they do not pay the corresponding fines. It was announced on TV channel Belarus-1 on 5 April.
On April 2 Belarusian president signed Decree No3 "On prevention of social dependency" (decree on freeloaders), intended to encourage the participation of able-bodied Belarusians in working activities and financing of public expenditure through taxes. According to it, Belarusian citizens and foreigners, living permanently in the country, who don't pay taxes or work less than 183 days per year, will be subject to paying an annual fee to finance public expenditure and social services.
The lists of freeloaders will be sent to tax inspectorates, Maryna Shchotkina said. Jobless people will have to pay the fine of 20 base amounts (3.6 million Belarusian rubles/~$245) by November 15 of the next year.

Head of electoral commission: Transparent ballot boxes will be used in big cities during 2015 presidential election.
Commenting on the opposition's proposals to improve the electoral legislation, one of which involved the use of transparent ballot boxes, Lidia Yermoshina said that this question does not require any legislative change and had been considered by CEC for some time.
"After the recommendation of the Central Electoral Commission, the biggest cities have all attended to this issue. Transparent ballot boxes will appear in polling stations in cities," - said the head of the CEC.
"I can not guarantee that they will be installed everywhere, but at least there will be many of them, "- added Lidia Yermoshina.
The presidential election in Belarus is expected to be held on November 15, 2015.
