In an interview with a Polish newspaper he suggested that if Russian separatists continue to break the ceasefire, then Germany and France should be held responsible as the guarantors of the last Minsk agreement.
A brilliant idea that needs to be circulated domestically and internationally. Think about it. Western politicians who show up to these negotiations to express concern and give press conferences need to have some skin in the game, which is the only way to hold the Russian aggressor accountable.

Russia is witnessing a spate of sporadic, locally organised popular protests in a sign of profound public dissatisfaction with the authorities, despite sky-high support ratings for President Vladimir Putin over the past year, the Financial Times reports.
"Since the beginning of the crisis in Ukraine, the social-economic priorities of the population have switched back to survival mode," says Mikhail Dmitriev, an economist and sociologist who predicted the 2012 protests. "But over the past decade, this mood has become highly volatile, and it can swing back very quickly."

Ukrainian Volunteer Defense Force "Donbas"
Summary: Tactical Situation in Donbas, Ukraine as of April 6, 2015

The rumors are spreading among the militants and their supporters that a new offensive is about to begin. We will try to figure out the current situation and make predictions about the possibility of this offensive and the most likely targets for attacks.

Based on the information we receive from insiders, the size of the Russian contingent in Luhansk has increased. Over the last few days, much larger numbers of weaponry have arrived in Luhansk via Krasnodon from Izvaryne border checkpoint not controlled by the Ukrainian forces. Preliminary reports state that the convoys have continued on to Alchevsk. Both new and damaged vehicles were seen in the convoys.

Also, today a video was published showing a group of soldiers marching in formation to have a meal at the former Mafia café (https://en.informnapalm.org/.../u.../sites/14/2015/04/Mafiya.jpg). According to the locals, these were Russian servicemen housed nearby in the Kvartal Eremenko street block in Luhansk.

Obviously, the buildup of forces and the deliveries of new weapons are done for a future offensive. Considering that Shchastya is protected by the Siverskyi Donets river from the south, we could expect a future attempt to attack Stanytsia Luhanska to allow for a concealed deployment of additional forces from Russia along the northern bank of Siverskyi Donets. Sabotage attempts, similar to the one that occurred in Shchastya on April 5, could be used as distractions.

The buildup of forces continues in the area of Pervomaisk and Stakhanov. In particular, we know about the arrival of two tank companies to Bryanka and of a group of approximately the same size to Stakhanov. This increases the chances of an advance by the militants towards Artemivsk from the east and on the area of Lysychansk – Severodonetsk – Rubizhne. The latter is needed in order to obtain control over Siverskyi Donets crossings and to protect the flanks of the first attack. That first attack, if made in coordination with DNR and continued past the border of Luhansk Oblast, is likely to result in the successful capture of Artemivsk. The attack will probably be directed both north and south of Popasna, without a direct strike against the town, since the likelihood of getting bogged down in street fighting is too high.

The above is also evidenced by insider reports from Horlivka about the accumulation of weapons and troop staging in the settlement of Holmovskyi, and the continuing harassing fire against the ATO forces near Mayorsk. Therefore, the next attack is expected in the direction of Horlivka – Artemivsk.

In the west, the possibility of an attack to encircle Avdiivka from the north and the south remains real. We covered it in our previous reports.

Mariupol remains the most critical direction. The frontal attack against the city is not feasible, though the willingness of the Russian hybrid army to sacrifice a large force to achieve this goal should not be discounted. An encircling attack through Dokuchaevsk towards Berdyansk seems like a more rational approach. This suggestion is supported by the reports of the arrival to Berdyansk of a large group of militants, whose goal will be to destabilize the situation in the town. If these reports are confirmed, there is a very high probability of a strike originating in Dokuchaevsk, where new reinforcements arrived on Saturday, against Volnovakha and continuing towards the western outskirts of Mariupol. Therefore, the social climate in the cities and towns near the front lines should be addressed.

In the area of foreign policy, Russia continues its destabilizing efforts around the world. An increasing number of analysts are placing on Russia the responsibility for inciting the Houthi uprising in Yemen. Considering the poverty and hunger in this nation, it would be a trivial task for Russia. All it takes is a supply of money and weapons.

The military conflict in Ukraine should be viewed in a wider context, outside the closed system of a war between a former empire and its neighbor trying to escape the circle of influence. Remember that a butterfly flapping its wings on one side of the world can cause a hurricane on its other side...

Ukrainian Volunteer Defense Force "Donbas"
Last 3 days shellings of Ukrainian positions by formations of Russian-terrorist troops have been recorded in Artemivsk, Donetsk, and Mariupol (seaside)directions.

The most complicated situation is currently observed in the vicinity of Opytne andAvdiivka. In particular, during the last 24 hours, insurgents constantly fired nearOpytne from small arms and AGS-17 automatic grenade launchers, as well as SPG-9 and 82-mm mortars. In the vicinity of Avdiivka, the positions of Ukrainian troops were fired at with 120-mm mortars and small arms. In conducting mortar fire, the enemy attempted to correct it (numerous attempts to move their fire have been recorded).

Terrorists continued their attempts to push Ukrainian troops back from their positions in the Artemivsk direction, especially in the vicinity of Mayorskiy and Luhanske. In particular, insurgent firing groups undertook at least 4 attempts to inflict fire strikes and force a Ukrainian unit to retreat near Mayorskiy and actively fired twice at Ukrainian positions with machine guns (of different calibers) in the vicinity of Luhanske. In the latter instance, the movement of an insurgent unit has been observed along the demarcation line between opposing sides at the same time. Ukrainian units remained in their positions.

In the seaside direction, insurgent attacks from 82-mm mortars on an outpost of Ukrainian troops in the vicinity of Chermalyk have been observed. During the shelling, the enemy monitored the forefront, trying to determine the firing positions of Ukrainian troops. In addition 04.03.2015, the radar facilities of airspace control (with air defense equipment) detected repeated attempts by the enemy to conduct reconnaissance using drones in the area.

Near Telmanove, the movement of a convoy with several jeeps and minivans transporting servicemen of Spetsnaz units of the GRU of the General Staff has been observed in the direction of the frontline (about 45 soldiers, well-armed and equipped).

Meanwhile, the pull-up of an unidentified infantry terrorist unit has been observed (according to preliminary data, a reinforced company tactical group of the "DNR" insurgents), with 6 tanks from the vicinity of Starobesheve and Komsomolsketowards the forefront near Dokuchajevsk.

In addition to activity at the forefront, terrorists have continued to maintain their military activity deep inside the occupied territories, mainly solving the supply issues of its tactical groups and enhancing their combat capability. Overall, the movement of about 34 vehicles carrying ammunition and fuel delivered from Russia has been observed in the past 24 hours. Most of them (26 vehicles) headed towards the rear of the two "northern" tactical groups of insurgents concentrated on the Horlivka – Yasynuvata – Yenakiieve stretch and near Pervomaisk – Stakhanov. Some supply convoys were accompanied by military outposts (up to a platoon, with 2 or 3 APCs).

An increase of supply volumes has been observed for the needs of the "Horlivka garrison" of Russian-terrorist forces both via the existing "northern" route (by the way of Alchevsk– Debaltseve and through Krasnyi Luch –Debaltseve – Vuhlehirsk), and via the "southern" route (through Snizhne (Amvrosiivka) – Shakhtarsk –Makiivka). The "southern" route is used to transfer predominantly military equipment.

The enemy continues repair work at Ilovaisk and Debaltseve railway stations in order to increase the capacity of both railway junctions after the stations suffered numerous damages as a result, in the first instance, of a successful missile strike by Ukrainian troops, and in the second instance, as a result of intense winter fighting for the "Debaltseve stronghold." Acute shortage of skilled labor and mobile repair vehicles remain a serious problem for insurgents in this respect (active attempts to engage the experts and equipment from similar fields have been observed). Cranes, tractors, repair equipment are mainly seized from machine-building enterprises and local automobile workshops.

In Horlivka and Snizhne, the repair and maintenance of terrorist artillery systems continue. In Horlivka on the territory of a local machine-building enterprise, 11 ACS 2S1 "Carnation" have been observed; in Snizhne-based repair shops – 4 BM-21 "Grad" MLRS systems, one BM-27 "Hurricane" MLRS, 2 2S3 "Acacia" ACS, and 4 2S1 "Carnation" systems have been observed. More than half of these systems are not combat-ready and are currently being repaired.

The creation of 4 large military equipment parks have been recorded in Luhansk, which belong to different "LNR" gangs and Armed Forces of the Russian Federation disguised as local insurgents.

Also, the movement of terrorist combat equipment has been observed over the past 24 hours:

– through Luhansk, a convoy of 3 covered trucks and 6 AFVs (2 BMP-2, 4 BTR-80) proceeded to to Stanytsia Luhanska.

– from Perevalsk to Chornukhyne, the movement of 3 MT-LBs and a BMP-2 has been observed.

– through Makiivka, 2 cars with Zu-23-2 and 4 trucks with 120-mm mortars proceeded towards Donetsk.

– through Yenakiieve, a tank convoy of 3 tanks, 2 tariped BM-21 "Grad" MLRS, and 2 MT-LBs proceeded to Yasynuvata.

Russian internal troops are currently conducting exercises in six of the countries federal districts – the North-West, Central, Volga, North Caucasus, South, and Crimean — to prepare them to counter any appearance of Maidan-like protests, according to an interior ministry press officer.
The exercises which began on April 2 and will conclude tomorrow involve the use by internal troops of "the entire arsenal of special means," including tear gas, water cannons and "various types of military technology and special non-lethal arms," the official said.
