I just heard on CNN an interview with Roman Pompodiuk, the former US ambassador to Ukraine. He made a very good point that needs to be repeated. He said that Ukraine needs a strong defensive posture to under pin its position at the negotiations table. While lethal defensive weapons may not stop Putin's adventure in Ukraine, they will make peace talks more meaningful.
Putin does not have time to talk about peace because he is busy planning the siege of Odessa.
