Ik ben ook voor defensieve wapens, putin zegt dat ze er al zijn, dus kan je ze net zo goed leveren,
Daarnaast vind ik vragen om VN/EU vredestroepen goede oplossing, dat zal rusland uiteraard veto op gooien, maar dan zijn ze compleet ongeloofwaardig, net als Merkel nu trouwens, dat er ondanks continue beschietingen, Mariupol- Donetsk toch een wapenstilstand zou zijn.

De russen willen stad per stad inpikken en elke keer beloven zedan, daarna gaan we ons aan de wapenstilstand houden.

Mocht EU Ukraine niet binnekort helpen , in ieder geval voor de zomer, dan staan de russen tegen die tijd in Baltische staten, Polen en kan Merkel Bonn weer hoofdstad Duitsland maken ipv Berlijn.

So there's now all this criticism of Poroshenko and the high command of the Ukrainian army and this article is typical of the sort of bashing that he's getting, worst of all from many who are supposed to be supporting Ukraine. It's not so hard to see why Debaltseve was a disaster, nor was it really a surprise under the circumstances. They are out-manned, out-gunned, out-provisioned, there are spies and saboteurs everywhere and they had the might of the Russian army against them. The blame does not lie with one man and anybody who says it does for me is somewhat suspect in what they want to achieve in these groups. For the three days before the ceasefire, the Russian activity around Debaltseve was enormous. They brought in everything they could throw at the town and bombarded the hell out of it. Is it any surprise that the Ukrainians had to flee? No none at all. Is it Poroshenko's fault? No, it's a combination of events and circumstances mixed up with some poor decisions perhaps but it's not all one man's fault unless that one man is Putin who lied all the way through the Minsk peace talks, agreed to a ceasefire he had no intention of abiding by and used the three day gap to mobilise a huge attack on the Debaltseve. Now is not the time for people to be criticising, now is the time for positive action. So what does all this criticism lead up to. Do people now want to get rid of Poroshenko and then what, who would take his place and how would Ukraine's allies look upon that. It seems that there's an awful lot of armchair generals and politicians out there but imagine being that one man, Poroshenko, up to his neck in all of this and be honest as to how well you think you'd do. All this criticism plays beautifully into Putin's hands and I've no doubt already his army of trolls have got their instructions to capitalise on just that and keep sewing more seeds of doubt because losing Poroshenko as President at this time would pretty much spell the end of any outside assistance for Ukraine whatsoever and a lot of the financial assistance that's been offered. Ukraine would be perceived as fickle and unreliable and I would have to agree with that perception. I sincerely hope that Ukraine learnt something from the post Orange revolution period where they shot themselves in the foot through in fighting and Putin took control of Ukraine through the back door with Yanukovich and the Party of Regions. This article in the Telegraph shows that the seeds of doubt are already being sewn around the world and the Russian media and trolls will grab at such stories as the gift they are. Yes by all means criticise constructively but sewing doubt and division is just another weapon for Putin isn't it? OVSE weigert Krim-leidster als parlementslid

Rusland had graag gezien dat de premier van de Krim zou plaatsnemen in de parlementaire vergadering van de OVSE, maar dat gaat niet door. De hoogste bestuurders van de Organisatie voor Veiligheid en Samenwerking in Europa (OVSE) weigerden woensdag unaniem Olga Kovitidi te accepteren als ,,vertegenwoordiging van de zogenaamde overheid van de Krim".

als er geen russische troepen waren binnengetrokken in Ukraine was er niet 1 dode gevallen.

En Ukrainse leger kan Mariupol  niet binnentrekken (alsof het een invasie zou zijn) want is Ukrains grondgebied, en het was ook bedoeld
als verdediging van huis en haard van de mensen in Mariupol.

Dat er een aantal "konijntje" provocateurs sleepers of vooruitgestuurd bezwaar maakten was duidelijk.
Wel grappig dat die jongedame die via VK Putin om hulp smeekte met russisch wapentuig gelijk het zwijgen werd opgelegd, zover gaat de

Het is al eerder gezegd. Wat we aanschouwen zijn de laatste stuiptrekkingen van een land dat langzaam door de knieën gaat en in een laatste finale armzwaai alles om zich heen aan stukken slaat. En aan de wereld en de eigen bevolking wil laten zien dat ze best nog wel tot iets in staat is.
De steeds dieper snijdende economische sancties versnellen die uitputtingsslag waardoor het Russische alternatief voor veel Oekraïners steeds minder aantrekkelijk wordt. Want dat alternatief gebruikte Poetin als lonkend perspectief, de zekerheid die hij kon bieden en Kiev niet. Als Kiev nu adequaat weet te reageren, niet met kanonnen maar met economische en bestuurlijke hervormingen, met de miljarden aan steun en die goed weet te gebruiken, dan zullen die twee zaken - de sancties voor Rusland en de beloningen voor Kiev - de Oekraïners een veel aanlokkelijker en overtuigender perspectief bieden dan waartoe Poetin in staat is. Anderzijds zal Poetin er alles aandoen om dat proces te torpederen.

Ik schreef elders al eerder: Het is daar nog lang niet voorbij. De rebellen bewijzen zich niets aan te trekken van het bestand. En waarom zouden zo ook, ze zijn aan de winnende hand. Na Debaltseve is het richting Mariupole en met versterking van Russische troepen uit de illegaal verkregen Krim gaan de Russen richting Odessa, dat volgens Poetin bij Novorossia hoort. Novorossia, het Russischtalige deel van Oekraïne waarvan Poetin gezworen heeft het te 'beschermen'. En wat hij met 'beschermen' bedoelt weten we sinds het oorlogsgeweld in het Oosten is losgebarsten.

Het einddoel is om door te stoten naar het westen, naar het maffiastaatje Transnistrie, die wederom illegaal verkregen Russische afsplitsing van Moldavië. Zo komt heel Novorossia weer in 'beschermende' Russische handen.

De voorbereidingen voor de slag om Odessa zijn nu in volle gang. Net zoals Poetin dat eerder deed op de Krim en Odessa (denk aan 2 mei) heeft hij er zijn bloedhonden uit Transnistrie op afgestuurd om angst en terreur onder de bevolking te zaaien. Om de boel voor te koken. In die meidagen van 2014 liepen ze zwaaiend met mitrailleurs door het centrum van de stad om pro Kiev betogers de stuipen op het lijf te jagen.
Nu zijn ze er weer, onder andere om kleine bommen te laten ontploffen in het centrum van de stad. Zoals dagelijks bij een inzamelpunt waar het Oekraïense leger spullen inzamelt voor de soldaten aan het front en een paar keer per week bij de Privatbank, waar je via de pinautomaten geld kunt doneren aan nabestaanden van soldaten die aan het front stierven. Tot nu toe viel er slechts een dode, vorige week toen een man uit Transnistrie zichzelf opblies in een buitenwijk van de stad. Maar het effect op de bevolking is er niet minder om.

Het lijkt een herhaling op wat vorig jaar op de Krim en in Odessa plaatsvond. Ook toen overstroomden in een paar dagen tijd Russisch sprekende vreemdelingen de stad en braken er rellen en vechtpartijen uit. De SA van Poetin is weer op pad.

Maar het blijft niet bij Odessa, er is nu ook een groep terroristen aan het werk in Charkov. FP vraagt zich terecht af of dit het volgende bolwerk van de rebellen wordt. 'One of the main objectives of the Russian takeover of Debaltseve was to gain control over a crucial rail junction between Russia and Donetsk. But the railroad there was largely destroyed in the course of the fighting, and Kharkiv, another vital rail hub, would be a boon to Russian-backed forces. Nor is that the only factor that makes the city a likely target of separatist expansion. Over the past several months, the city has absorbed thousands of refugees and injured fighters from Donetsk and Luhansk. The remains of passengers from flight MH17, the Malaysian airliner shot down over separatist-controlled areas, were brought here for forensic examination. (One thwarted bomb plot targeted a visiting Dutch delegation after the remains were relocated, according to the Los Angeles Times). Kharkiv is also a major hub for volunteer recruitment and an important military base."

Dit heeft niets met de wil van het volk te maken zoals dat misschien gold in het Oosten, Odessa en Kharkov worden geterroriseerd en straks onder de voet gelopen. Een angstige bevolking die weet wat er gebeurt wanneer ze dwarsliggen. Zoals de FSB eerder in Odessa huishield en achter de branden op het plein zat, de martelingen van Pro-kiev supporters. Wie denkt dat Poetin zich iets aantrekt van sancties of akkoorden heeft het duidelijk mis.
