http://www.economist.com/news/europe/21645318-ukraines-hiring-mikheil-saakashvili-advisor-irritates-country-he-once-ran-tbilisi-wavers

OF ALL Russia's neighbours, Ukraine and Georgia should understand each others' situations. Both countries have fought losing battles against Russian troops supporting local rebels, and had pro-Moscow secessionist regions carved out of their territory. Dozens of Georgians are fighting as volunteers with Ukrainian government-aligned militia; last month one of them returned to Tbilisi in a coffin (pictured). But the two countries' mutual sympathy has been strained since February 13th, when Petro Poroshenko, Ukraine's president, announced that the head of his newly established council of international advisers would be Mikheil Saakashvili, Georgia's former president. Mr Saakashvili, who has lived in exile since 2013, is a bitter enemy of Georgia's current ruling party, and faces criminal charges in Tbilisi stemming from his time in power. The tensions over his appointment come at a difficult time for Georgia, when the country's orientation in the conflict between Russia and the West seems increasingly uncertain.
The havoc which falling oil prices and sanctions have wrought on Russia's economy has spilled over to Georgia. Remittances from abroad, which the World Bank reckons account for 12% of GDP, are falling; half of them come from Russia. Exports were down by 30% in January compared to the previous year. The Georgian lari has lost 29% of its value against the US dollar since November—a major headache in the country's highly dollarised economy. Last month the government announced it would probably halve its 2015 growth projections to between 2 and 2.5%. It also intends to step up privatisation in a bid to halt the currency slide.

These economic setbacks have fallen hard on a country whose political landscape is bitterly divided. Georgia's current government, led by the so-called Georgian Dream coalition of prime minister Irakli Gharibashvili, has convicted numerous former officials from Mr Saakishvili's United National Movement (UNM) on corruption charges, and has detained others for months while they await trial. The former mayor of Tbilisi, Gigi Ugulava, who is accused of money-laundering, has already been in prison for eight months; his request for bail was denied on February 18th. That drew a condemnation of Georgia's pre-trial detention practices from Pedro Agramunt, the special rapporteur of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
With former UNM officials fearing to return home, graft-plagued Ukraine has hired several of them as advisers, hoping to replicate the corruption-busting success their government enjoyed in Georgia after the 2003 Rose Revolution. Mr Saakashvili is the most prominent. Ukraine's public prosecutor picked another former UNM official as his deputy three days after Mr Saakashvili's appointment. Such moves are risky for Georgian-Ukrainian relations. The Georgian public prosecutor has repeatedly demanded Mr Saakashvili's extradition.
In public, Georgian officials are trying to avoid conflict with Ukraine. As a senior American diplomat pointed out last month during a visit to Tbilisi, Georgia and Ukraine need each other at present. At the same time, Georgian authorities, cowed by the 2008 war, have continued their longstanding policy of avoiding confrontation with Russia. After taking office, the Georgian Dream government courted Moscow by blaming the war on Mr Saakashvili. That brought diplomatic and economic benefits: Russia was Georgia's fourth-largest trading partner in 2014.
But in the latest conflict, Moscow has done little to reciprocate Tbilisi's attitude. On February 16th Russia affirmed it would meet its pledge to provide some $145m in financial aid to the breakaway region of Abkhazia in 2015, despite Moscow's own budget concerns. Two days later Russia signed new agreements with South Ossetia, Georgia's other secessionist territory, leading Tbilisi to fear it might be annexed. Moscow also continues to make menacing noises about Georgia's NATO aspirations.
The external threats and economic difficulties facing Georgia underline its need for unity. Instead, Bidzina Ivanishvili, the former prime minister who is now widely considered the government's grey cardinal after stepping down from power in late 2013, has found new targets. He recently criticised the Western-oriented Republican party, which is part of the governing coalition, for supporting Georgia's former defense minister, Irakli Alasania. (Mr Alasania stormed out of the government in November 2014.) Last month, Mr Ivanishvili made threatening comments regarding the leaders of several prominent non-governmental organisations in Tbilisi. He has repeatedly criticised the country's media. Most recently, he has taken to blaming the country's economic troubles on the governor of the central bank. Such divisive moves are probably music to Moscow's ears; they are certainly a worrying sign in a country that professes it wishes to join Europe.

That is absolutely clear, that Nemtsov had been killed by Federals from Putin's gang. The bridge is under protection of Federal Security Service, and there are around 50 cameras observing this bridge next to Kremlin, half of which have this place of supposed murder in their field. BUT federal TV shows only the evidence from distant camera, AND u can not see that it was Nemtsov INDEED. And the moment of impact is covered from the eyes of the cam by the Vacuum cleaning vehicle.
SO the proof that that was Federal KILL are easy:
1. place can bee seen from more then 10 cameras from different angles which are right next to the place
2. Nemtsov as an initiator of the coming demonstration was definitely traced by federals all the time and especially the day before the event, so if that wouldn't be federals who killed, then federals who were watching him would react and catch the killer within 5 min.
3. If that would be not federals, then Nemtsov should be followed before that place, that means tracing either his mobile phone or visual contact. Ciz this place of impact was not usual place where he was expected to be at. So if mobile was traced - Federals... If visual contact- then again, next to Kremlin, federals would already figure out who that was on numerous cameras around this place... So again - federals.
So it is clear that it was a federal KILL, the only question is WAS NEMTSOV KILLED ON THAT BRIDGE OR SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!
1. that man on the video is covered by street vacuum cleaner for 4 sec., experts say Nemtsov was killed from Makarov gun and there were 6 shots... that is technically impossible, Makarov construction allows maximum speed 1 shoot in 2 seconds. which means that killer could be able to shoot ONLY TWICE.
2. Nemtsov got 4 bullets in his body, one of them in his heart, one in his head. That would mean at least 2 liters BLOD on the ground, which means on the bridge, that has NOT A FLAT surface a huge blod spot, but at the first photo when medics came to the place we see NO BLOD AT ALL.
3. Model, who "was walking with Nemtsov" and was a witness of it all has been left alive.. why? Why didn't she cry out anything, WHy was she calm, why didn't lean to Nemtsov when he had been shot, didn't check if he is alive.. She went as if that was planned and she new that he is dead to the driver of street vacuum cleaner, told him something and was calm.
4. why the driver of streat vacuum cleaner just went away after he spoke to the model, normally any russian witnessing any accident wouldn't leave.
My personal opinion: Nemtsov was killed earlier, there was some agent walking with Model on the bridge, nemtsov body was brought there with that vacuum cleaner and thrown out of it at the time when it was passing the place on the cam. Agent is left that place in this vacuum cleaner. And the whole case is a huge FEDERALS PLAY, and huge setup.

http://euromaidanpress.com/2015/03/03/why-russia-needs-war-and-sanctions-are-so-important/

Vladimir Putin is fighting a war on two fronts. At home, opposition activists no longer risk jail, but death. The assassination of Boris Nemtsov at the Kremlin walls–one of the most policed places on the planet–turned a new page in the regime's offensive against its opponents. Abroad, Putin's tanks continue to roll into Ukraine and Moscow's other neighbors feel threatened.
But just as he's apparently managed to winnow out his political enemies at home, the Russian dictator is still making friends on the Western front. Only last month, Putin demonstrated that it is possible–despite Western sanctions and ongoing aggression in Ukraine–to build a partnership with a European Union state. In his first visit to a European Union country in nine months, Putin visited Hungary and cuddled up to his emerging new ally, Prime Minister Viktor Orban. From Budapest, he sent a clear message: We are ready to support any European country that has grievances with Brussels or Washington.
A year after the annexation of Crimea, Putin's Russia is looking ever more like an expansionist fascist state. "Putin has brought Nazism into politics," Nemtsov told a reporter hours before he was shot. As the regime aims to destroy critical thinking, years of round-the-clock propaganda–hugely intensified by the Ukraine campaign–has taken its toll on Russian society. Many Russians are ready for war: this can be seen in the numbers of men who left their homes to fight in Ukraine as volunteers (alongside regular Russian troops).
Life has become dangerous for those Russians who–despite daily brainwashing and state control–preserve a clear mind. In Moscow, 50,000 of them took to the streets in an anti-Putin march in memory of Nemtsov. Labeled the country's "fifth column," these Russians are so vilified on federal television that they could become victims of hate crimes committed by the people–or by the state. Many of them are openly asked to leave: Riga is fast becoming a hub for an escaping Russian middle class.
Asked by a BBC presenter if Nemtsov will join the long list of unexplained murders in Russia, Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov chillingly replied: "The list is not that long.". On his weekly TV show Vesti Nedeli, Russia's most famous propagandist Dmitry Kisilev told viewers that, for the West, Nemtsov was "more useful dead than alive." The pro-Kremlin newspaper Izvestia reported that investigators are focusing on the Ukrainian intelligence agencies and Chechen militants as the main suspects in the murder.
Yet, despite dragging Russia into the past and starting a European war, the Kremlin still has friends in Europe. Putin needs their help to dismember Ukraine and to stop democracy from reaching Russian borders. The Russian leader seeks support to realize his vision, in which any country that was once under Soviet or Russian rule should serve Moscow. Currently, Putin's team of loyal dictators in Belarus and Central Asia are safeguarding his Eurasian dream. But now that Russia is in confrontation with the West and its economy is a ticking time bomb, Putin wants to divide the EU and create pro-Moscow lobby groups in Brussels. This not only involves supporting Europe's far-right and far-left parties, but also courting entire mainstream political elites.
Hence Putin's visit to Hungary last month. Standing in front of the cameras in the heart of Europe, Putin told Ukrainian soldiers to surrender and mocked Kiev for having lost to "miners and farmers". Meanwhile, separatists under Russian command pushed out Ukrainian soldiers in a bloody battle for Debaltseve, a key town in Eastern Ukraine.
The visit was also meant to showcase Russian backing of Prime Minister Orban as an ideological partner, one whose nationalist rhetoric falls in line with Kremlin propaganda. Despite Russian aggression in his neighborhood, Orban has consistently deepened his links with Putin. During the war in Ukraine, Hungary's friendship with Russia has been ringing ever more alarm bells inside the EU.
Orban seeks closer ties with Russia while benefitting from NATO's security protection and from the economic assets of an EU member state. When speaking to European diplomats, Orban claims he has no love for Moscow and that he only reaps the benefits of Russian money and gas. In reality, it is Putin who is exploiting Orban in his effort to show the world that Western unity is no more. By offering Hungary profitable trade projects, Russia can strengthen those EU states that can influence Brussels in Moscow's interests.
Hungary is not alone in looking to the Kremlin. Russia has been making inroads in Central and Southeast Europe for years. With heavy Russian investment in their countries, the Czech and Slovak governments have consistently spoken against Western sanctions imposed on Moscow. The Balkans are increasingly becoming fertile ground for Russian destabilization. And, since Syriza's electoral victory in Athens, Greece has fallen to Putin.
Two days after hosting Putin, Orban visited Warsaw. Though one of Europe's firmest Putin critics and most loyal defenders of Ukrainian sovereignty, Poland has until now been largely silent on Orban's growing ties with the Kremlin and trampling of democracy. When the West condemned Orban for his authoritarian leanings, Warsaw defended him. Poland saw double standards from "Old Europe": French and German populists were not a problem for Brussels, whereas Orban's Fidesz party was beyond the pale.
For Jaroslaw Kaczynski, the leader of the Polish conservative Law and Justice opposition party, Viktor Orban was once an idol. "We will have a Budapest in Warsaw," Kaczynski declared in his election campaign in 2011. But since the war in Ukraine began, Orban's flourishing friendship with Putin grew into a problem for Kaczynski, and the Poles are worried about their brothers-in-arms from 1989. The Hungarian received the cold shoulder from the Polish press and establishment. "Orban doesn't believe in Europe", read the front page of Gazeta Wyborcza, a major Polish newspaper. "I believe that Ukraine, a great European nation, should have the right to decide its own future", Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz told her Hungarian counterpart.
As ever darker clouds descend over Moscow, the choice for European diplomats and heads of states is now between acting as Putin accomplices or adversaries. Europe can't afford any more Viktor Orbans, just as it needs more Boris Nemtsovs.
