Russia recognizes the territorial integrity of Ukraine within the framework of the Declaration of State Sovereignty of July 16, 1990. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in his press-conference during the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly. He referred to the non-aligned status declared in the Declaration of State Sovereignty of Ukraine and concluded: ?In that wording, under those conditions, we support the territorial integrity of Ukraine.?
